Biography

 Hello! I'm Ralph a event, portrait and street photographer based in Toronto, Ontario. My photographic journey started in late 2016 when I purchased an entry level camera to document life around me. Then in early 2017 I bought a point and shoot film camera and quickly fell in love with the tones and the simplicity of 35mm film. Weeks upon owning the point and shoot I invested early with the purchase of my first Nikon film SLR, at that time I was photographing everything but eventually I discovered Street Photography as a good way to practice and get comfortable with a camera. With that information, I ventured into Street Photography and did that almost exclusively for the first 3 years of my Photographic Journey, and in that journey I became really confident with getting really close to the people I photograph, and would often aim to capture the apex of the moment, emotion, rawness of the scene or a combination of everything.

In the Present Day, I have now transitioned to using the digital format and is comfortable with the use of on camera and off camera flashes to enhance the scene for both events and portraits and would only use film with  select  projects. The skills and style I learned and developed and will continue to develop, I will apply to every Photographic projects that come my way.
